Adjudication (Parking Citations)
You can pay for parking citations by visiting the TAPS office in Facilities Building A or via e-Pay.
You can submit an appeal by following the instructions on the yellow citation envelope or via e-Pay.

The University of California is authorized to enforce parking regulations and issue citations for violations pursuant to California Vehicle Code 21113. The Parking and Police personnel who write parking citations are mandated to carry out this authority by California Vehicle Code 40215 and 40230.
Citation revenues support UC Merced's alternative transportation program and shuttle services. Citation revenue is not used for construction, operation, maintenance or administrative of parking facilities.
There are (3) levels to adjudicating parking violations:
- Level 1 consists of an appeal/administrative review completed by Adjudication.
- Level 2 consists of an administrative hearing completed by a qualified hearing examiner (mediator).
- Level 3 consists of a court hearing at Merced Superior Court.
Under no circumstances shall a personal relationship with any officer, public official, or law enforcement agency be grounds for cancellation.
