Virtual parking permits for the 2023-24 academic year will be available for purchase beginning Monday, June 5. Permits will be valid from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
For detailed information about options, parking zones and regulations, please visit the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) website.
Virtual permits will not be available to customers with outstanding citations. All citations must be paid or appealed within the adjudication appeals process (within 21 days of being cited) before virtual permits can be purchased.
The following virtual permits for on-campus parking will be available through the My UC Merced Parking portal beginning at 8 a.m. June 5. This is a new virtual permit distribution and will be available online on a first-come, first-served basis.
Existing virtual permits will expire June 30. Payroll deductions will be stopped unless you purchase permits for the 2023-24 academic year.
Vehicle information must be updated at the time of purchase. Each customer may register up to four vehicles, but only one vehicle at a time may be parked on campus.
Carpool virtual permits will be available for purchase at the TAPS Office. Please note that all participants in the carpool must be present for the permit purchase to be complete. Motorcycle virtual permits also will be available for purchase at the TAPS Office.
Drivers with a DMV-issued placard or license plate are required to register before the vehicle can be parked on campus. Applicants must provide a copy of disabled placard/plate registration paperwork. Accessible virtual permits will be available for purchase at the TAPS Office.
If you plan to commute to campus 1-2 days per week, not exceeding 12 days per month, you may purchase hourly/daily parking. Visit the TAPS website for information on hourly/daily parking options.
