Daily or Short-Term Parking

If you have not purchased semester parking, hourly permits are available via "Pay by Text", or kiosks located in Bellevue Lot. Student commuter parking is only available in Green Zone in Bellevue Lot. Student Employees are not eligible to purchase Faculty/Staff parking permissions. 

To be eligible to purchase campus parking, students must be a sophomore, junior or senior (30 or more units). All other students will be placed on a waiting list and permits will be released as space is available.

Short-Term Medical Parking

Available for short-term medical need of close-in parking.  This requires submitting medical documentation to Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS).  The documentation must be from a healthcare provider (e.g. physician, surgeon, chriopractor, etc.) Students can submit documentation for up to one month in duration directly to TAPS.  Documentation for longer than one month of medical parking must come directly from Student Accessibility Services.  Students must also purchase some form of paid parking to be eligible for medical parking. Medical parking is valid in any non-specially marked spaces except for Reserved parking lots. Parking is not authorized in ADA spaces.

Parking Access

UC Merced Transportation and Parking Services may temporarily close or modify any parking space or facility.
Every attempt will be made to provide adequate advance notice. Any vehicle entering a barricaded area or passing a posted notification may be cited, immobilized (booted) or towed.
