Daily or Short-Term Parking
If you have not purchased semester parking, you may choose to purchase a daily or weekly permit. These permits may be purchased My UC Merced Parking Portal (preferred browser other than Google Chrome) Hourly permits are also available via WayToPark, our mobile app. Student Commuter parking is only available in Bellevue Lot.
To be eligible to purchase campus parking students must be a sophomore, junior or senior status (30 or more units). All other students will be placed on a waiting list and permits will be released as space is available.
Resident Housing Permit Information
Housing permit applications will be available beginning July 15, 2020. This includes the Freshman Exception and Continuing/New Transfer applications. Applications must be submitted by July 30, 2020. Purchasing a kiosk permit does not authorize on-campus parking during enforcement hours.
Incoming freshmen Housing residents are not eligible for on-campus parking. However, a limited number of spaces have been allotted to accommodate freshman residents who require frequent access to a vehicle. You may apply for a "H" Housing permit if you meet one of the exception criteria. "SPRING H" Housing permits can be purchased beginning August 24, 2020 and are valid August 26th - November 25th, 2020. Purchasing a kiosk permit does not authorize on-campus parking during enforcement hours.

Student Carpool Permit Requirements
Student carpools must have two or more currently registered students attending UC Merced.
Carpool members must ride together at least three days per week (Monday through Friday)
Each member must be present with their school and/or work schedules when the permit is purchased.
The primary driver must approve each member participating in the carpool.
The primary driver will be issued the parking decal. Each additional rider that has a vehicle registered with the carpool will have access to 6 occasional one-time use only permits. These permits are nontransferable and are for use on days when carpooling to campus is not feasible.
*Carpool and Motorcycle virtual permits may only be purchased at the office. All students must be present and have class and/or work schedules at the time of purchase.

Short-Term Medical Parking
Available for the short-term medical need for accessible parking. A doctor's note containing specific start and end dates is required. Students must also purchase some form of paid parking to be eligible for Medical parking. Medical parking is valid in any non-specially marked space in any lot. Parking is not authorized in ADA spaces.
Please note: Refunds will not be offered for semester permits.
