CatTracks
This bus service is offered by UC Merced as a method of transportation for all students, staff, and faculty. Off campus commuters can find bus stops near their homes and take a route directly to the campus without having to buy a car or rely on someone else. On campus students can use CatTracks to discover the city of Merced and explore what it has to offer at no additional cost.
In order to use the CatTracks service, students, staff, and faculty must have their CatCard with them at all times. People who are not affiliated with UC Merced can still use the CatTracks service for $2 per ride.
Merced's "The Bus"
In collaboration with the city of Merced, the UC Merced also offers free access to Merced's "The Bus" system for all students, staff, and faculty of UC Merced. Swipe your CatCard at the card reader next to the bus driver to use this service.
Merced's "The Bus" also opened another route, "Route UC", to better serve all students, staff, and faculty of UC Merced. "Route UC" is the only route of "The Bus" that goes to the UC Merced campus.
