The cut-off date for payroll is the 13th of each month. You will need to cancel your permit by contacting TAPS or sending an email to taps@ucmerced.edu prior to the 13th of the month to not be charged for parking that month.

If you leave the University for any reason it is your responsibility to cancel your permit. When a person has an active permit on payroll deduction and the amount is not applied to a paycheck, the amount accumulates in a suspended account until another paycheck is issued. The total outstanding amount will then be taken out of your next paycheck.

No. Your permit is not cancelled until you have requested cancellation by contacting TAPS at 209-228-8277 or sending an email taps@ucmerced.edu

Yes. Your permit is prorated on a daily, weekly, or monthly rate, whichever is more economical. If you purchase a permit in the middle of the month and there are two or more weeks left in the month the monthly rate will apply.
