Daily or Short-Term Parking
If you have not purchased semester parking, you may choose to purchase a daily or weekly permit. These permits may be purchased My UC Merced Parking Portal (preferred browser other than google chrome) ; however, they are still physical permits and must be picked up at the TAPS office. Hourly permits are also available at the pay stations. Student Commuter parking is only available in Bellevue Lot.
To be eligible to purchase campus parking students must be a sophomore, junior or senior status (30 or more units). All other students will be placed on a waiting list and permits will be released as space is available.
Resident Housing Permit Information
Housing permit applications will be available beginning January 10th, 2020. This includes the Freshman Exception and Continuing/New Transfer applications. Applications must be submitted by January 20, 2020. Purchasing a kiosk permit does not authorize on-campus parking during enforcement hours.
Incoming freshmen Housing residents are not eligible for on-campus parking. However, a limited number of spaces have been allotted to accommodate freshman residents who require frequent access to a vehicle. You may apply for a "SPRING H" Housing permit if you meet one of the exception criteria. "SPRING H" Housing permits can be purchased beginning January 13th, 2020 and are valid January 20th - May 15th, 2020. Residents will be parking at Merced College, there will be no on-campus parking for the fall semester. Purchasing a kiosk permit does not authorize on-campus parking during enforcement hours.

Short-Term Medical Parking
Available for the short-term medical need for accessible parking. A doctor’s note containing a specific start and end date is required. Students must also purchase some form of paid parking to be eligible for Medical parking. Medical parking is valid in any non-specially marked space in any lot. Parking is not authorized in ADA spaces.
Please note: Refunds will not be offered for semester permits.
